Meet Dr. Josiah Child, a compassionate and experienced physician whose personal health journey has profoundly shaped his approach to medicine.

Dr. Child's life took a significant turn when he contracted and had to rehabilitate from COVID-19, an arduous and extensive process that gave him a new perspective on health and longevity

As he regained his strength, he found himself haunted by the specter of a premature death, like that of his father who passed away in his early 70s. This realization emphasized to him the importance of enjoying life with his wife, children, and potential grandchildren well into his 70s, and beyond. Understanding that the regimen required to ensure this future would differ vastly from the triathlon training of his 30s and 40s, Dr. Child began to reassess his approach to health. While motivation, hard work, and recovery remained important, he recognized the need to address the metabolic, neurological, and cardiovascular risks associated with aging. This personal journey has deepened Dr. Child's commitment to a patient-centered philosophy. His goal is not just to treat diseases but to guide patients towards increased vitality and well-being.

Dr. Rachel Goodman standing and smiling with a New Mexican landscape in the background

Meet Dr. Rachel Goodman, a Santa Fe native with a big heart. After spending 12 years broadening her horizons, earning her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, and offering her skills to communities in Nepal and Honduras, she returned home. Her love for her roots led her back to New Mexico for her residency in OBGYN at The University of New Mexico.

Once she completed her training, she happily settled back home to start her practice. After nearly a decade providing comprehensive OB/GYN care in Northern New Mexico, she felt a calling to focus more on sexual health, vaginal health, and the journey through menopause. Answering this calling, she now dedicates her time to helping women navigate these often misunderstood aspects of health. The serene, private setting of Cloudberry Health allows her to blend her extensive medical knowledge with alternative methods. Most importantly, it gives her the time to truly listen to her patients, creating a care plan that's just right for them. Dr. Goodman knows that traditional OB/GYN offices might not always feel like the right place to discuss personal concerns or questions. That's why she's passionate about creating a space where every woman feels heard and understood. Whether you're exploring sexual wellness or transitioning through menopause, she's here to guide you every step of the way. She believes that every woman deserves to embrace her best self, at every stage of life.

Dr. López was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she learned to love red and green chile, big blue skies, and open desert landscapes. She is thrilled to be back in Santa Fe after traversing the country for her education and spending the last 13 years in the Pacific Northwest. She is deeply privileged to be practicing in the community where she grew up and where she has deep family roots.

After working in a busy primary care clinic and teaching medical students and residents for close to a decade, Dr. López decided she needed more time with her patients. She is excited to be in a practice where she can focus on promoting wellness through a healthy lifestyle—with the ultimate goal of disease prevention, while also treating and reversing patients’ current health problems. Dr. López enjoys forming long-term relationships with her patients through mutual respect, deep listening, and truly caring for the people she interacts with. She takes care of families, from newborns to 99+, with a special emphasis on complex primary care, mental health, women’s health, geriatric care, and skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. Teaching has been an integral part of her career— learning just as much from her students and patients as they do from her. Through teaching, she hopes to empower her patients to better understand their own health and help them achieve their health goals and wellbeing. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. López is on the Board of Directors of the New Mexico Academy of Family Physicians. Through her advocacy in this role, she hopes to reach a wider population, increasing the health of all New Mexicans, and improving healthcare delivery in the State of New Mexico.

Meet William Bacon, an experienced physician assistant dedicated to supporting you on your health journey. With a background in emergency medicine, cardiology, hospital and perioperative medicine, and primary care, William is committed to the philosophy that you are in control of your well-being – and having practiced in the Santa Fe community since 2001, he’s here to guide and connect you to the health modalities and professionals that serve you best.

William’s early practice in emergency medicine in Santa Fe allowed him to care for a broad range of acutely ill patients, and he came to understand the risks of failing to actively participate in our own healthcare. He saw conditions that could have been managed through simple, healthy changes early on – or avoided altogether. In 2013 he transitioned from emergency and hospital medicine to primary care, where he could educate and coach his patients in developing and maintaining healthy active lifestyles that could optimize health span and mitigate chronic disease. A Santa Fe local, William graduated from Santa Fe High, earned a mathematics degree at the University of California, then continued his education with a Master of Medical Science (MMS), Physician Assistant Studies, at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. In 2001, he became the first physician assistant at the New Mexico Heart Institute where he worked with cardiologists to establish the first interventional cardiology program in Santa Fe. An active member of the Santa Fe healthcare community, William has served on both the executive medical committee and peer review committee of Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center. William and his wife, Laura Lee, an accomplished physical therapist, enjoy skiing and adventure travel, hiking and backpacking hundreds of miles each year. Over the years, William has managed a rafting company and worked as a ski instructor in Taos – and as a lifelong athlete, he believes that staying active and taking personal responsibility for your health are the keys to longevity and a vibrant, fulfilling life.
